Reseña Breve:

Médico Veterinario de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Mg. Ciencias Veterinarias de la Universidad de Chile y PhD en Ciencias Biológicas de Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Ha enfocado su investigación en el estudio de patógenos emergentes, principalmente agentes zoonóticos virales y bacterianos, especialmente Influenza, SARS-CoV-2 y Salmonella.

Su experiencia abarca desde la implementación de proyectos en ciencia básica empleando diferentes modelos in vivo, in vitro y ex vivo para determinar los factores celulares y virales que regulan las interacciones hospedero patógeno. La participación en investigaciones multidisciplinarias en medicina traslacional con el fin de identificar marcadores de gravedad de la infección con Influenza y SARS-CoV-2 y, la vigilancia genómica de patógenos emergentes humanos y animales principalmente Influenza A estacional, influenza aviar altamente patogénica H5N1 y SARS-CoV-2.
